Privacy Policy

Short version

TextPack does not collect your data. All document processing happens on your Mac. There are no analytics, no telemetry, and no network requests in the app. We don't know what you type, what you export, or how often you use it.

Local processing

All text processing and PDF generation runs on your Mac using native macOS APIs. Your text and documents never leave your device. TextPack does not connect to any server for document processing.

What we don't collect

• The text you type or paste
• The documents you export
• Your conversion history
• Usage patterns or frequency
• Device identifiers or hardware info
• IP addresses
• Any personal information

Document history

TextPack stores your conversion history locally on your Mac using standard macOS storage APIs. This data never leaves your device. You can configure auto-deletion (7 days, 30 days, or keep forever) in TextPack Settings → Defaults.

License activation

When you purchase TextPack Pro through LemonSqueezy and activate your license key, the app sends a single validation request to verify the key. This is the only network request TextPack makes. No document data is included in this request.

Payment processing

Payments for TextPack Pro are handled by LemonSqueezy. We receive confirmation of your purchase and your license key, but we don't store your payment details, card number, or billing address. LemonSqueezy's privacy policy governs payment processing.

Auto-updates

TextPack Free and Pro (DMG versions) use Sparkle to check for updates. This sends a standard HTTP request to our update server to check if a newer version is available. No personal data or document content is sent.

This website

This website (textpack.app) uses Google Analytics to understand page visits. Cookie consent is managed via a banner for EU visitors. The website does not access or interact with the TextPack app or any of your local documents.

Children's privacy

TextPack does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13. The app has no account system, no registration, and no data collection features.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page. The current version is always available at textpack.app/privacy.
