Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
Short version
BBMM Technologies Inc. owns and operates TextPack and textpack.app. All document processing happens on your Mac, and document or clipboard content is never sent to us. Optional diagnostics and website analytics stay off unless you explicitly allow them.
Local processing
All text processing and PDF generation runs on your Mac using native macOS APIs. Your text and documents never leave your device. TextPack does not connect to any server for document processing.
What we don't collect
- The text you type or paste
- The documents you export
- Your conversion history
- An in-app account identity
- File names
- Website search or URL query content
Document history
TextPack stores your conversion history locally on your Mac using standard macOS storage APIs. This data never leaves your device. You can configure auto-deletion (7 days, 30 days, or keep forever) in TextPack Settings → Defaults.
Narrow network use
Document processing does not require our servers. TextPack may make narrow requests for app download, purchase, license activation and revalidation, and update checks.
Optional diagnostics may use the network only when you enable them. These service requests do not include document text, clipboard content, file names, or exported files.
Payment processing
Payments for TextPack Pro are handled by Lemon Squeezy. We receive confirmation of your purchase and your license key, but we don't store your payment details, card number, or billing address. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy governs payment processing.
Auto-updates
The public TextPack Mac app uses Sparkle to check for updates. This sends a standard HTTP request to our update server to check if a newer version is available. No personal data or document content is sent.
This website
The official website is textpack.app. It does not access the TextPack app or your local documents. Before an explicit, versioned analytics choice, no analytics SDK is initialized and no analytics network request or storage is created.
If you select Allow analytics, Amplitude receives manually generated events with fixed page categories and fixed action categories for download, preflight, checkout, and success. We disable automatic capture, session replay, engagement tools, remote configuration, persistent identity, cookies, IP collection, and device properties. We do not send full URLs, query strings, email addresses, file names, document text, or user identity. Amplitude acts as our analytics service provider.
Your browser's Do Not Track signal overrides a prior grant. Your versioned choice is stored in local storage so the site can remember it. Select Privacy choices in the site footer at any time to reopen the preference panel or withdraw consent; withdrawal opts the SDK out and removes analytics cookies and browser storage.
Children's privacy
The TextPack app has no account system or registration. Optional diagnostics and the content-free website analytics described above are not designed to identify anyone, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page. The current version is always available at textpack.app/privacy.
